TTRPG stands for "tabletop roleplaying game." While this type of game is generally most well-known for epic fantasy, there are TTRPGs for every genre imaginable.

• There's a lot of variety of game systems within the TTRPG space, but generally, there is a formula:
• Someone "runs" the game and serves as both narrator, non-playable characters, and guide to the rules -- we usually call them a "game master"
• A group of people who are not the game master will create characters or play as existing ones that fit within the world in which the game is set, using something called a Character Sheet

Character elements found in our Character Tools come from the books produced by our publishing partners. In the case of Marvel Multiverse RPG, everything you need to build a character in our Character Tools is included in the Core Rulebook.

Normally, only a small sampling of character elements would be available without purchasing the Core Rulebook. However, since we're throwing a party and everyone is invited, we wanted to offer a limited-time opportunity for everyone to become the hero of their Marvel stories. We've "unlocked" the character elements, so that you can relive the Marvel stories you love or create something completely original.

If you create a Marvel Multiverse RPG character during Hero Week, and then later purchase the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game Core Rulebook, your character won't change.

You'll be able to edit your character without fear of permanently losing elements covered in the Core Rulebook. It will be as if you had Core Rulebook access to begin with, in regards to your characters and their creation, sheets, and editing capabilities.

If you create a Marvel Multiverse RPG character during Hero Week without purchasing the book (or having it shared with you by someone who has purchased it), you'll still be able to access that character after Hero Week.

Once the character elements go back to being unavailable after Hero Week, editing your character may present some challenge. If you remove characteristics to which you don't normally have access, you will not be able to re-add them. You may be unable to edit certain parts of your character without losing these characteristics.

The NEXUS Edition is a virtual version that lives on the Demiplane platform, and can be accessed anywhere from any device.
